    Popis:
V rámci návaznosti na mezinárodní spolupráci byl podán dne 8. 4. 2015 návrh projektu v rámci výzvy “Visegrad V4- Japonsko” Title: New Processing Routes for Ultrafine Grained Metals with Strength and Ductility. Reg.číslo: V4J-UFGMETAL. Spoluřešiteli projektu jsou: prof. Malgorzata Lewandowska (Polsko), prof. Nobuhiro Tsuji (Japonsko), prof. Gyorgy Krallics (Maďarsko), prof. Stanislav Rusz (ČR).

    Podstata projektu:
V rámci projektu budou rozvinuté 4 technologie, tj. kumulativní ECAP, návrh termomechanických řízených procesů, kombinace vícenásobného kování a plošného tváření a nového konceptu tvářecího nástroje – tzv. ECAP + TE (ECAP nástroj s vestavěným-šroubovice vodorovný kanál). Všechny tyto technologie byly vybrány s ohledem na jejich rozšiřitelnost a případné použití v průmyslovém měřítku

    Objective:
    Short introduction:
Ultrafine grained (UFG) materials with mean grain sizes smaller than 1 m are one of the most prospective groups of material in construction applications. They feature very high mechanical strength, frequently higher by a factor of 2 or 3 compared to microcrystalline counterparts, which makes them attractive in the context of weight reduction. Due to their high strength, the components fabricated out of them are much lighter. The major drawbacks in this field include limited ductility and the lack of industrially relevant technologies for their production. To face these problems, the consortium consisting of 4 institutions representing Poland, Japan, Hungary and Czech Republic, has been formed. The institutions and the scientists have already great achievements in the field of UFG materials and agreed to undertake an ambitious research programme to advance basic knowledge and technological development. At technological level, the project aims at development of new innovative concepts for grain refinement and production of UFG materials possessing very high strength combined with the ductility sufficient for further forming. At scientific level, the project goal is to clarify the structure-property correlation of the UFG materials that enable to combine high strength and large ductility (formability). Within the project 4 technologies will be developed, i.e. incremental ECAP, a novel thermomechanically controlled processes, a combination of multiple forging and flat rolling techniques and a new concept of the forming tool – called ECAP + TE (ECAP tool with built-helix in the horizontal channel). All these technologies were selected taking into account their scalability and possible application at industrial scale.

    ERA Chairs
    http://ec.europa.eu/research/participants/portal/desktop/en/opportunities/h2020/calls/h2020-widespread-2014-2.html
Main Pillar: Spreading excellence and widening participation

    Objective:
Outstanding researchers can have a decisive and positive impact on the culture and performance of research institutions. Yet issues such as the availability of research funding, institutional rigidities and access to resources can hamper the mobility of such leaders to promising institutions, particularly in low performing Member States and regions. ERA Chairs actions will address the specific challenge to create the appropriate conditions and opportunities for high quality researchers and research managers to move and engage with willing institutions to improve the excellence of their research and thereby modify their research and innovation landscape.

Scope: The ERA Chairs actions will support universities or other eligible research organisations[1] to attract and maintain high quality human resources and implement the structural changes necessary to achieve excellence on a sustainable basis. An ERA Chair holder should be an outstanding researcher and research manager in the given field of research, with a proven record of effective leadership. They should establish their own team and help the research organisation to significantly improve its research performance and to be more successful in obtaining competitive funding.

Research organisations interested in establishing an ERA Chair shall submit a proposal aimed at facilitating structural change in the institution and ensuring that the conditions are in place to foster excellent research. This should include arrangements for compliance with ERA priorities[2] including the European Charter for Researchers & Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers[3], better use of the installed research capacity (in particular of EU co-funded research infrastructures & facilities) and/or a description of the necessary investments in facilities and infrastructures. For the latter, interactions with national or regional authorities and other stakeholders to coordinate actions and mobilise support, including, where relevant, from European Structural and Investment Funds, are a must.

The ERA Chairs may be in any domains of research and innovation addressed under the Treaty, but are expected to be in line with relevant regional and national strategies for smart specialisation. The Chair should have a full-time position within the organisation/university, professor or similar, that will allow her/him to freely apply for research funding in order to raise the level of research excellence of the team and the institution. The appointment of an ERA Chair holder must follow an open and merit-based recruitment process, and will be subject to monitoring by the European Commission. The appointment will be undertaken by the host institution at the beginning of the action. The position of the ERA Chair holder must be open to all EU and non-EU nationals.

The grant will cover the appointment of the ERA Chair holder and a number of team members and will also provide a contribution towards measures aimed at facilitating structural changes in the institution, for a maximum period of five years. Hence, the grant is not a measure to fund research per se.

The Commission considers that proposals requesting a contribution from the EU of EUR 2.5 million, would allow this specific challenge to be addressed appropriately. Nonetheless, this does not preclude submission and selection of proposals requesting lower amounts.

    Deadline: 15-10-2014
Grant amount: max. 2,5 mil. €
    Budget: €33,600,000
Duration: max. 60 months (5 years)

    CZ:
Program: Horizont 2020; aktivita: „Šíření excelence a podpora účasti”
    Vyhlášení: 11. prosince 2013
    Uzávěrka: 15. října 2014, 17 hodin
Způsobilé výdaje: max. 2,5 mil. eur (100% financování)
    Alokace výzvy: 33,6 mil. eur
Oprávnění žadatelé: univerzity a výzkumné organizace
Délka projektu: max. 60 měsíců (5 let)
Cíl projektu: překonání rozdílů v inovačním potenciálu evropských zemí a zajištění větší účasti v rámcových programech (RP) států, jejichž účast v RP je podprůměrná, prostřednictvím ERA Chair.

ERA Chair = špičkový vědec s manažerskými vlohami, jakékoli národnosti (i české, i mimo EU) v kategorii R3 (Established Researcher) nebo R4 (Leading Researcher), 100% úvazek.

Nástroj projektu: Univerzity / výzkumné organizace nabídnou pracovní místa špičkovým vědcům nebo manažerům výzkumu, kteří dokáží zvýšit úroveň těchto institucí a získat další kvalitní zaměstnance a finanční prostředky z jiných zdrojů, například z prostředků EU pro financování výzkumu nebo regionálních fondů. Vědec vybraný transparentním mezinárodním tendrem kolem sebe vytvoří prvotřídní výzkumný tým, který bude provádět výzkum v nejrůznějších oblastech a řídit pracoviště v organizaci.
